Theo Stavropoulos was born in Athens, Greece in 1930. He studied art in Greece, France and the US under such art luminaries as Gounaro, Andre Lhote, Fernand Leger and Josef Albers. He had exhibitions all over the world as well on 57th Street in NYC.
Theo taught painting and drawing at the City University of New York for 25 years. He died in Maine in 2007.
Theo was a painter who primarily worked in oils and acrylics. He generated countless drawings, watercolors, inks, etchings and aquatints.
